Jeffrey Milstein
Jeffrey Milstein, based in Woodstock, New York, built a career in architecture before turning his focus to photography in 2000. Milstein earned his pilot’s license at 17, and his passion for flight led to his aircraft photography. He was originally focused on capturing images looking directly up at aircraft, Milstein has recently shifted to aerial perspectives of man-made landscapes that he says “are emblematic of the modern world.”
His piece JFK 21 is part of the Juried Group Show in the Red Barn.

“As a child, I was drawn to aircraft” says Milstein, “I built and flew model airplanes and earned my pilots license while still a teenager. A favorite pastime was hanging around the end of the runway at the Los Angeles International airport. I loved having the aircraft fly so low overhead that I could almost reach up and touch them.”
Milstein’s photographs have been exhibited and collected throughout the United States and Europe, and are represented by Kopeikin Gallery in Los Angeles; Benrubi Gallery in New York; Bau-Xi Gallery in Vancouver, B.C., Canada; and ARTITLEDcontemporary in the Netherlands.
